My Music Performances

This is a performance of "Mary Magdalene." Here I play clarinet. This song is written by the singer/banjo player, Eliana Athayde. We have a band together called Jacaranda.

I had the opportunity to play with the SF Jazz Monday Night Band during 2017-2018. This is a performance of Björk's "5 Years" featuring Thu Ho on vocals and a tenor saxophone solo from myself partway through.

This is Kyle Athayde's arrangement of "The Pokémon Theme." I am the featured soloist on tenor saxophone.

This is a Jacaranda performance at Alliance française de Berkeley for Fête de la Musique 2016. Eliana and I are joined by Greg Fleischut on guitar, and together we play three originals: Wendy, Moon Girl, and Jon the Baptist. Though I love all our songs, these are three of my personal favorites.

A performance of a piece by vocalist Rossana Schneider called "This Love's For Real" with Jonathan Seiberlich's Jensen Engineering project. I am playing bass clarinet.

In 2013 I toured with the English Beat. This is a selection of videos from our show at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA.

The songs are: "Mirror in the Bathroom," "I Confess," "Twist and Crawl," and "Tenderness." You can select the songs from the top right YouTube menu.

Here is a collection of performances while I was attending UC Berkeley.

The songs are: "Blue Rondo a la Turk" by Dave Brubeck, "Canvas" by Robert Glasper, and "Delfeayo's Dilemma" by Wynton Marsalis. I'm playing alto in the video and tenor saxophone on the audio only tracks.

The Aaron Bahr Dectet performing at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, CA. I play bass clarinet in this performance.

The songs are: "Untitled Suite," "Seven Steps to Heaven," "My Shining Hour," "Duke Ellington Ballad Medley," "Jazzschool Babies," "Here Comes the Sun," "All You Need is Love," and "Encore."

Here is a performance with my old jazz group, The Chrysalis Quartet.

This playlist includes three songs: both "Everything in its Right Place" by Radiohead and "Nardis" by Miles Davis are in the first video, and "Afro Blue" by Mongo Santamaria, arranged by Robert Glasper, is the second.

In 2008 I wrote this piece for the Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco. I am playing tenor saxophone during this performance, which can also be found on Spotify if you're hankering for better recording quality.
